Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNO): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced that the public holiday on account of Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, will now be observed on March 13, 2026.
According to an official order issued as a partial modification to Government Order No. 1894-JK(GAD) of 2025 and Government Order No. 1895-JK(GAD) of 2025 dated December 12, 2025, the holiday has been advanced from the earlier notified date of March 20 to March 13 across the Union Territory.
With the revised notification, all government offices, educational institutions and other public sector establishments in the Union Territory will observe the holiday tomorrow, officials said. (KNO)
