JAMMU, MAR 10: Udhampur Fighters, Ramban Eagles and Kathua Heros registered victories in their respective matches of the YSS–JKSC Cricket Premier League played at M.A. Stadium, Jammu on Tuesday.
Udhampur Fighters beat Poonch Giants
In the first match, Udhampur Fighters defeated Poonch Giants by 26 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss, Udhampur posted 164/4 in 20 overs. Captain Gourav Khajuria led the charge with a solid 55 off 43 balls, hitting six boundaries. Himanshu Chandan supported well with an unbeaten 48 off 42 balls, while Sunil Kumar provided late acceleration with 32 not out off 19 deliveries.
For Poonch Giants, Ashish claimed 2/20, while Umar and Aleem Malik took one wicket each.
Chasing 165, Poonch Giants managed 138/6 in 20 overs despite Sajad Sheikh’s 46 off 46 balls. Harmeet Singh scored 17 while Umar added 16.
Udhampur’s bowling attack was led by Sunil Kumar, who picked up 3/31, while Ashish and Munish chipped in with crucial wickets.
Ramban Eagles defeat Poonch Giants
In the second match, Ramban Eagles outplayed Poonch Giants by 74 runs.
Batting first, Ramban posted a strong 185/6 in 20 overs with half-centuries from Shoaib Naik (59 off 46) and Mohsin Ilahi (54 not out off 31). Raja added a quick 30 off 14 balls, including three sixes.
For Poonch Giants, Rehan Aslam took 2/34, while Umar and Aleem Malik picked up a wicket each.
Chasing 186, Poonch Giants faltered early and were restricted to 111/7 in 20 overs. Umar (24) and Zaheer Sheikh (23 not out) offered some resistance.
Nitu Ram Bersain was the standout bowler with 3/23, while captain Mahboob Sulaman also picked up a wicket.
Kathua Heros edge past Jammu Nawabs
In the third match, Kathua Heros defeated Jammu Nawabs by 12 runs.
Batting first, Kathua posted 146/7 in 20 overs. Puri Abhinav anchored the innings with 43 off 33 balls, while Ram Dayal contributed 22 runs. Nehal Khajuria finished strongly with an unbeaten 29 off 14 balls.
For Jammu Nawabs, Chaitanya Dogra impressed with 3/20, while Vijay Dogra and Akash Sharma picked up one wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Nawabs were bowled out for 134 runs despite a blistering 58 off 31 balls by Ishtiyaq Elahi Robby, which included four fours and four sixes.
Kathua bowlers fought back strongly, with Vansh claiming 3/22, while Ram Dayal took two wickets to seal the victory.
