SAMBA, FEBRUARY 2 (KNT): The Army on Monday cordoned off an MES building in the Bari Brahmana area of Samba district following information from locals about the presence of two unidentified persons wearing army-style clothing, officials said.
According to officials, residents noticed the movement of two suspicious individuals near the MES premises and immediately alerted the security forces. Acting on the input, Army personnel rushed to the spot and sealed the area as a precautionary measure.
Sources said a search operation was launched in and around the MES building to verify the credentials of the individuals and rule out any possible security threat. Additional security arrangements were put in place, and movement in the vicinity was temporarily restricted during the operation.
Officials said the prompt action by locals enabled a swift response by the security forces. The operation was underway at the time of filing this report, and further details are awaited. (KNT)
