J&K Reports 111 Covid-19 Cases, 1 Death

Srinagar, Dec 27 : Jammu and Kashmir reported 111 fresh covid-19 cases while one person died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday.

32 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 79 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 340833.

One death was reported from Kashmir Valley due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4524 persons—2197 in Jammu and 2327 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 38 cases, Baramulla 19, Budgam 5, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 9, Kulgam 1, Shopian 0, Jammu 21, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 1, Doda 3, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 3, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic labouratory and include male (48) (NA) from Qamarwari Sgr, male (30) (NA) from Bandipora, female (72) (NA) from Pampore pulwama, male (47) (NA) from Hajin kralgund, male (53) (NA) from BSF Handwara, male (54) (NA) from BSF Handwara, female (42) (NA) from Pulwama main, male (38) (NA) from Lasjan Pampore, male (60) (NA) from Budgam.

Moreover, 127 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 43 from Jammu Division and 84 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 334976 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1333 —344 in Jammu and 989 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 50 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

They also informed that 99241 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. (GNS)
