Search for 2 drowned youth continues in Chenab River

Ramban, May 09 : Rescue operation entered second day on Monday to locate the two youth who drowned while bathing in river Chenab in Maitra area of Ramban district on Sunday, officials said.

SHO Ramban Sandeep Charak told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on Monday morning search and rescue operation resumed again to trace the youth who drowned yesterday in River Chenab yesterday afternoon.

“Two teenage boys, who had gone for a bath in river Chenab near Julla Bridge in Ramban town yesterday afternoon were swept away by the strong water currents”, official said.

They have been identified as Nistish Kumar son of Kishore Lal, a resident of Diyar Gali and Ravinder Singh son of Suram Singh, a resident of Chakka Kukdi tehsil Rajgrah—(KNO)
