Smart City Project: 23 junctions, 25 smart traffic booths to come up in Jammu

Jammu, Jan 29 : Under Smart City project, the Jammu Municipal Corporation is going to develop 25 smart traffic booths and 23 junctions for which necessary formalities have been completed and contracts to execute these projects were finalized on Saturday.

The officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the concerned signed two contracts to execute these projects under Smart City initiative.

“Smooth flow of traffic and better pedestrian facilities are among main objectives under Smart City project in Jammu for which a number of more initiatives are in pipeline,” the officials said. They stated that on Saturday a contract has been signed to execute a project under which 23 junctions will be established in Jammu City.

Similarly, they said, another project has been signed under which 25 smart traffic booths will be established in the City.

They informed that on this 25 smart traffic boots better pedestrian facilities will be made available while smooth flow of traffic will also be insured and these traffic booths will act as model stations in the City—(KNO)
