Amid target killings, 17465 devotees visit Kheer Bhawani temple on June 8 this year

Srinagar, Jun 10 : As many as 17465 devotees visited Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tulmulla, Ganderbal on June 8, highest ever since 2019, officials said.

The highest number of devotees arrived at the Temple despite the targeted killings of members of minority community that raised security concerns. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on June 8, a total of 17,465 devotees visited the Kheer Bhawani Temple, which is highest since 2019. “In 2019, 16031 devotees paid obeisance at Kheer Bhawani,” an official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

He said that in 2017, a total of 18420 devotees had visited the temple while as in 2018, 17542 devotees paid obeisance at the revered temple—(KNO)
