J&K reports 11 new covid-19 cases, no death

Srinagar, June 10 : Jammu and Kashmir reported eleven new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said that five cases were reported from Jammu district, two from Udhampur and one each from Rajouri, Samba and Srinagar, taking the overall tally to 454325—166535 in Jammu division and 287790 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, eight Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—six from Jammu division and two from Kashmir. So far 449494 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 71— 61 in Jammu and 10 in Kashmir.

The officials told GNS there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 5491 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. (GNS)
