Fazi Begum, wife of Abdul Majeed Mir, as per her family, had gone to bring back the cattle from the nearby forest area. “She hasn’t returned since”, they told GNS.

Perturbed over her mysterious disappearance, the family informed police following which the latter alongside army’s 21 RR and locals launched a search operation in the forest area to trace the woman. The searches were however yet to fructify, when this report was being filed.

Meanwhile a police official told GNS that widespread searches are being carried out to trace the missing woman. “The army is helping out in the searches by putting into service its sniper dogs”, the official further said. (GNS)
