SRINAGAR, Nov 14: Political leader Irfan Ali has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for creating history by winning the Budgam Assembly bypoll for the first time. He praised Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi’s impressive victory margin of 4,496 votes, calling it a strong reflection of people’s trust and shifting political sentiment in central Kashmir.

Irfan Ali said the win is significant as Budgam had remained a National Conference stronghold for decades. He added that PDP’s strengthened presence in the Assembly will help raise public issues more effectively.
