Officials said the decision follows safety inspections and a phased restoration plan.

As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Northern Railways have informed that Train No. 12238 (Jammu Tawi–Varanasi), Train No. 12332 (Jammu Tawi–Howrah) and Train No. 12356 (Jammu Tawi–Patna) will restart operations on September 21, while Train No. 12920 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Dr. Ambedkar Nagar) will resume on September 22.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said the trains are being re-operated after ensuring the safety and continuity of tracks and bridges. “These trains are being operated in the third phase. Earlier also, trains were re-operated in two phases. As soon as the technical work on the railway track and railway bridge is completed, the train operations in the division are being gradually normalised,” he added, urging passengers to check schedules on the Northern Railway website or helpline numbers before travelling—(KNO)
