Kulgam, Jan 30 : A woman was killed after being hit by a truck at Wanpoh crossing in Kulgam district on Thursday, an official said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that at around 15:30 hours, a pedestrian, identified as Mubeena Banoo, wife of Mohd Shafi Malik, resident of Danter, Anantnag (aged about 55 years), was hit by a truck bearing registration number (JK03H-8772) at Wanpoh crossing.
He said the woman sustained serious injuries in the incident and was shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment, where doctors declared her brought dead.
Meanwhile, Police have taken cognizance of the incident and are completing the necessary medico-legal formalities—(KNO)
