Explosive object found, destroyed in Langate village

Srinagar, Dec 11 : A suspicious explosive object was detected and destroyed at Langate area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday morning.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a joint team of Police along with Army’s local Rashtriya Rifles detected a suspicious explosive object along Baramulla— Handwara road.

However, shortly after the detection of the object, a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was rushed to spot and the traffic was halted for public movement, they said.

The object was destroyed and the traffic was restored as well, they said—(KNO)
