Long-standing communications issues in these neglected areas are addressed by the recently constructed infrastructure, which can be upgraded to 5G.

According to details gathered by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), cutting-edge ADSS-based fibre technology was used to create connections over a difficult 20-kilometer terrain.

Arvind Pandey, Principal General Manager of Telecommunications, Kashmir, spoke to KNO and referred to the project as a significant turning point since taking office in 2023. “Our goal is to introduce cutting-edge technology to markets where no operator has previously operated,” he said.

Other isolated locations, such as Keran, Tangdar, Gurez, Aharbal, Nagnad, and Gurwatan, now have connectivity thanks to the project. It is anticipated that the improved services, which guarantee smooth communication and incorporate digital technology into daily life, would benefit both visitors and residents—(KNO)
