Srinagar, October 21: In a strongly worded condemnation, the Kashmir Advocates Association (KAA) denounced brutal terror attack in Ganderbal, where seven civilians, lost their lives. The attack, which took place near a construction site in the Gagangeer area, has sparked outrage and grief across the Union Territory.

The unidentified Terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on the victims, who were working on crucial infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Z-Morh tunnel and the expansion of the Srinagar-Leh highway. While initial reports indicated three deaths, the toll tragically rose to seven as four of the injured succumbed to their injuries late Sunday night.

In its official statement, the Kashmir Advocates Association called the attack a “barbaric and cowardly act” aimed at derailing the region’s developmental progress. “The terrorists seek to instill fear among those contributing to the growth and modernization of Jammu & Kashmir. Their aim is clear: to disrupt peace, spread terror, and halt progress, but they will not succeed,” the statement read.

The KAA extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and expressed solidarity with those affected by the violence. It also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured, urging authorities to provide them with the best possible medical care.

Calling for decisive action, the association demanded that those responsible for this heinous crime be swiftly brought to justice. “The perpetrators of such senseless violence must face the full force of the law. The government must ensure the safety of all civilians, especially those working on vital projects for the upliftment of the region,” the statement added.

The KAA further appealed to the people of Jammu & Kashmir to stand united against terrorism. “These acts of violence are attempts to divide us and derail the progress we’ve made as a region. We must not let fear take root, and we must remain resilient in the face of such cowardly attacks.”

The Kashmir Advocates Association reaffirmed its commitment to fostering peace, security, and development in Jammu & Kashmir, pledging to continue its efforts toward building a prosperous and terror-free society.
