MP Er Rashid Visits Family of Tihar Jail Inmate, Incarcerated for 22 Years, Offers Support to Inmate Families

Tral/Anantnag – AIP President and MP Baramulla, Er Rashid accompanied by AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi visited the family of Parveez Ahmad Mir, who has been imprisoned in Tihar Jail for the last 22 years. Er Rashid met Ghulam Mohiudin Mir, the father of the inmate, in Tral, offering his support and solidarity during this difficult time. He also visited other families whose loved ones are incarcerated in various jails within and outside Kashmir, reaffirming his commitment to advocating for their rights. Er Rashid also met Rouf Ahmed Bhatt Bijbehara who was released after spending around three years with Er Rashid in Tihar jail & emotional scenes were witnessed on the occasion .

In addition, Er Rashid visited Advocate Ghulam Nabi Shaheen, former General Secretary of the High Court Bar Association, in Tral to offer his condolences on the demise of his brother-in-law, Ghulam Mohiudin Dar. He expressed deep sympathy, prayed for the departed soul and assured the bereaved family of his support.

Er Rashid also paid a visit to the residence of the late Muzamil Ahmad, an AIP associate from Gulshan Abad, Lazibal, Anantnag, who passed away in 2021, to extend his condolences to the family and offer prayers for the departed soul.
