‘Sharbat-e-Mohabbat,’ a popular drink known for its cooling properties, has rapidly gained popularity among locals, seeking relief from soaring temperatures.

Popular in Delhi, Sharbat-e-Mohabbat combines rose syrup, basil seeds, milk, and ice to create a refreshing beverage that has become a favourite in Srinagar’s bustling markets and streets.

According to details gathered by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), its introduction to Kashmir has been met with an enthusiastic response, as residents embrace its soothing taste during the sweltering summer months.

“We introduced Sharbat-e-Mohabbat recently, and the demand has been remarkable,” shared a local vendor, speaking about its growing popularity among customers, seeking respite from the heat.

A local enjoying the drink at a roadside stall noted, “It’s a delightful treat and a much-needed relief in this heat. I’m glad to see it becoming popular here.”—(KNO)
