Srinagar, Dec 31 : Jammu and Kashmir Police have announced cash rewards to people sharing with it any information or intelligence regarding different anti-national activities.
The Police Department on Sunday said that cash rewards will be given to people for providing information and intelligence on trans-border tunnels, drones, narcotics, terror activities and terrorists. The information, the Police said, can be shared with District SSsP, while it said the identity of the person(s) will be kept secret.
As per a handout, a copy of which lies with GNS, anyone providing information or intelligence regarding location of trans-border tunnel used by ANEs to tranship terrorists, explosives and contraband consignments will get 5 lacs. For anyone whoever sights a drone flown from across the border to drop narcotics or explosive material and which leads to the recovery of the said dropped material besides whoever gives actionable intelligence about person connected with receiving drone deliveries and/or transporting arms/ammunition/narcotics from border/LoC to hinterland or Punjab and the said intelligence gets corroborated during further action will get 3 Lacs.
Similarly, it said, whoever provides information based on which inter-state narcotic modules is busted will get 2 lac.
For who gives information about persons talking to Pakistan based terrorist handlers or separatists in jails which leads to successful discovery of facts including recoveries/busting of modules during investigations/enquiries that are initiated on receipt of the information will get 2 lacs.
Whoever gives information about persons who are taking to or communicating with terrorist handlers across the border or with their agents within J&K are branding citizens as Mukhbir and passing on their personal details like photo, address, movements of off-duty policemen and other security personnel or government servants for their targeting and the information gets corroborated during investigations/enquiries that are initiated on receipt of the information will get 2 lacs.
Anyone giving information about persons in Masjids or Madrassas or Schools or Colleges who are encouraging, inducing and inciting people to join terrorist ranks or to pick up gun and the information gets corroborated during investigation/enquiries that are initiated on receipt of the information will get one lac.
And similarly for those who give give specific information about the presence of terrorists, resulting in successful operation leading to arrest or combat, will get a cash reward in between twenty-lac to twelve-lac fifty thousand, as per category A or B or C of the terrorist, the Police said.
