Police arrests terrorist associate of LeT outfit in Baramulla, arms and ammunition recovered

Baramulla, December 27: Police alongwith security forces arrested terrorist associate linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT and recovered incriminating materials, arms and ammunition from his possession in Baramulla.

On a specific input of terrorist movement in Kreeri area, a joint Naka was established at Shrakwara Kreeri near Bus Stand by Baramulla Police & Army 52 RR. During naka checking suspicious movement of one person coming towards naka point by foot was observed. While seeing police party and security forces, the suspect person tried to flee from the spot but alert naka party apprehended him tactfully. During preliminary questioning, he was identified as Imran Ahmad Ganie son of Abdul Qayoom Ganie resident of Nowpora Wagoora Kreeri.

During his search 1 Chinese Pistol, 1 Pistol Magazine, 9 Pistol Rounds & 1 Mobile Phone (Samsung) was recovered from his possession.

In this regard, case under sections UA (P) & Arms Act has been registered in PS Kreeri and investigation has been taken up.
