J&K Reports 104 Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, Dec 29 : Jammu and Kashmir reported 104 fresh covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

39 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 341028.

No death was reported either from Kashmir Valley or Jammu division due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4525 persons—2197 in Jammu and 2328 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 33 cases, Baramulla 12, Budgam 4, Pulwama 3, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 8, Kulgam 2, Shopian 0, Jammu 22, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 1, Doda 8, Kathua 1, Samba 2, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 2, Ramban 1 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and include male (21) (NA) from Maharaj gunj, male (50) (NA) from J&K, female (31) (NA) from Sonwar Sgr, male (50) (NA) from Kulgam, female (35) (NA) from Kakapora, female (32) (NA) from Pulwama, male (12) (NA) from Drubgam pulwama, female (22) (NA) from Pinglish, female (50) (NA) from Kavil and female (60) (NA) from Kralpora Budgam.

Moreover, 124 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 21 from Jammu Division and 103 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 335227 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1296—365 in Jammu and 911 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 50 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

They also informed that 111573 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. (GNS)
