Jammu, Jun 12 : To wipe out the menace of drug abuse from society under the program Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, ANTF Jammu apprehended two persons on a specific input namely Gita devi of Rajiv Nagar Jammu and Vishal of Ferozpur Punjab.
The team recovered heroine like substance from their possession and busted an interstate racket of drug peddlers. Trap was laid by inspector Nayat Ali along with Duty Magistrate Shri Varun Bhagat. The operation was conducted under the guidance of Shri Shamsher Singh JKPS, DY. SP ANTF Jammu Zone and over all supervision of SSP ANTF J and K Shri Raj Kumar JKPS. In this regards case FIR, NO 04/23 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS ANTF Jammu and investigation is set into motion.
With this recovery and arrest of main distributors of drugs ANTF Jammu has been able to break the nexus of Narcotics drugs suppliers and receivers from Punjab and Jammu respectively.
ANTF J&K has appealed the general public particularly the youth to stay away from drugs and to share any kind of information regarding drug related activities with ANTF so that strict legal actions are taken against such drug dealers. The identity of the informant as well as whistle-blower shall be kept confidential. Persons found in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law.
The community participation in fight against drug abuse can serve the purpose of complete eradication of the menace of drugs from our society.
