Srinagar, Feb 23 : A man was injured in a mysterious blast in Warpora area in Sopore of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, official sources said.

They told GNS that a man suffered injuries in his head and right eye after some unascertained blast occurred while he was digging earth in his kitchen garden.

The injured person has been identified as Mohammad Jamal Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, following which he was evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment, they said.

BMO Sopore told GNS that they received a patient with injuries on his head and eye this morning. “He reportedly has suffered the injuries due to some mysterious blast while digging earth at his kitchen garden in Warpora Sopore”, the medical officer said adding “After initial treatment he was referred to SKIMS for further treatment.”

Confirming the incident, a police official told GNS that they are ascertaining the facts regarding the nature of the blast. (GNS)
