Sopore Police facilitates PCPG meetings in Police Station Sopore and Dangiwacha

Sopore, Dec 15: As a part of Public outreach programme, Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings were facilitated by Sopore Police in Police Station Sopore & Police Station Dangiwacha with due precautionary measures related to Covid 19.

In Police Station Sopore the meeting was chaired by SDPO Sopore Furkan Qadir, Besides, SHO Police Station Sopore Insp. Khalid Fayaz and other senior officers of Sopore Police.

The meeting was attended by respectable citizens of Mahrajpora, Jalalabad, Adipora and its adjacent areas.

Similarly, one more PCPG meeting was conducted at Police Station Dangiwacha in which respectables of Dangiwacha area including religious leaders, Auqaf Committee Members and Traders attended the meet.

The meeting was chaired by SDPO Rafiabad Ameen Bhat along with SHO Police Station Dangiwacha Insp. Imtiyaz Wani and other senior officers.

The participants highlighted various issues including the problems of drug abuse, electricity, water issues, drainage, transport facility to far flung areas, exorbitant fare charged by transporters to the passengers and other important problems faced by the general public which were heard patiently.

Officers further said that police will take strong action against the drug peddlers, its cultivators and other people involved in other criminal activities.

Referring the demands, officers assured the participants that their genuine issues pertaining to police will be resolved on priority basis and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their redressal.

The participants were also requested to co-operate with Police and administration in maintaining law & order in the area and in identifying anti-national & anti-social elements.

The meetings were ended in good atmosphere with note of thanks.
