Poonch, Oct 07 : A 45-year-old man was injured after being mauled by a bear in the Loran area of Poonch district on Wednesday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man was cutting grass in the area when the bear suddenly attacked him.
The injured man was shifted by locals and family members to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Loran for treatment. He was identified as Manga Diku (45), a resident of Loran village in Batalkote.
Meanwhile, locals have urged the authorities to take necessary measures to prevent further bear attacks in the area.—(KNO)
