Poonch, Feb 27 : A suspected drone movement was observed over Gulpur village in the Poonch sector along the Line of Control on Friday morning, official sources said.

They told GNS that security forces detected the aerial object during routine surveillance and opened fire, discharging approximately 15 to 20 rounds in an attempt to neutralise it. “However, the drone could not be brought down.”

“The object later moved towards Siriyan village, reportedly entering the other side,” they added.

Security forces have in the meantime heightened surveillance in the sector, and further details are awaited. (GNS)
