Vehicle Checking Intensified in Kulgam; Out-of-State Vehicles Verified

Kulgam, Feb 26 : Police on Wednesday conducted intensive vehicle checking and search operations in Yaripora, Frisal and Behibagh areas of Kulgam district to strengthen security and maintain law and order.

The drive was carried out under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Kulgam Anayat Ali Choudhary.

During the operation, special focus was laid on verification of out-of-state vehicles and motorcycles, particularly those found without registration number plates or lacking valid documents. Police teams checked documents and inspected vehicles at multiple checkpoints across the areas.

Officials said the exercise was part of routine preventive measures aimed at ensuring public safety and deterring unlawful activities.

Police reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of the general public. [KNT]
