JAMMU, JANUARY 22: In connection with the observance of National Voters’ Day (NVD), Director Information and Public Relations Nitish Rajora on Wednesday administered the NVD pledge to officers and officials of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) at the Media Complex here.
On the occasion, the Director, along with officers and staff, read out the pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution of India, responsible exercise of electoral rights and encouragement of greater participation in the electoral process.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director highlighted the significance of this year’s NVD theme, “My India, My Vote,” stating that it reflects the strengthening of democratic institutions and promotes awareness about the importance of informed and ethical voting.
Emphasising the role of DIPR in supporting the Election Department’s Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities, he urged personnel to actively contribute towards spreading voter awareness and promoting inclusive participation in elections.
