The Executive Council discussed key academic and administrative matters and accorded in-principle approval to several agenda items placed before it.

Addressing the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor directed the University to undertake a comprehensive review of its existing curriculum with the aim of positioning BGSBU as a centre of excellence. He called upon the Executive Council to focus on educating tomorrow and creating learning spaces for the next generation.

Emphasising skill-centric education and institutional accountability, the LG asked the University to introduce attractive and future-ready courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and emerging digital technologies, aligned with evolving industry needs and students’ career aspirations.

“By shaping minds, we can shape a brighter future for India. The future of the nation begins on the university campus. We must reimagine education for tomorrow and design curricula that inspire innovation and cutting-edge research,” LG Sinha said.

The Lieutenant Governor also stressed the need for the University to provide innovative solutions to localised problems in tribal areas and ensure greater opportunities for tribal students. He underscored the importance of increasing student enrolment and modernising operations through the complete implementation of the e-office system.
