Srinagar, April 14 : A non-local labourer was killed and another was injured after framed iron structure for construction of a ring road in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district sunk on Thursday.

Official sources told GNS that two labourers— Lal Chand son of Jagir Chand and Raju Ram son of Ram Prasad, both from Batoli Mirzapur Banaras UP—came under the framework while they were working on it at Thukerpora Gudsathoo Chadoora, leading to on the spot death of the former and injuries to latter. Injured labourer, Raju Ram, was shifted to SDH Chadoora where from he was referred to SKIMS Bemina Srinagar for further treatment, they said. (GNS)
