440 Fresh Covid-19 Cases In J&K, 1 Death In J&K

Srinagar, Feb 13 : Jammu and Kashmir reported 440 fresh covid-19 cases while one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.

They said, 276 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 164 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 450771.

Giving district wise details, Srinagar reported 92 cases, Baramulla 12, Budgam 15, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 18, Anantnag 7, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 3, Shopian 4, Jammu 96, Udhampur 16, Rajouri 8, Doda 83, Kathua 14, Samba 2, Kishtwar 3, Poonch 4, Ramban 36, and Reasi 14.

Regarding the lone fatality, the officials told GNS that it was reported from Jammu division. So far 4745 persons have succumbed to the virus—2323 in Jammu and 2422 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 1228 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time. So far 440560 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 5466— 2287 in Jammu and 3179 in Kashmir.

A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories associated with GMC Srinagar and GMC Annatnag.

The GMC Anantnag cases include male (55) from Kund Kulgam, male (60) from Chatt Awantan, male (30) from Sofipora, male (30) from Zainapora, female (50) from Watnard Kokernag, male (NA) from Calcutta and male (31) from Zradipora Ang.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 23,903 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. (GNS)
