2 militants killed in Shopian Gunfight, arms and ammunition recovered

Srinagar, July 19: Two unidentified militants were killed in a gunfight with security forces in Sidiq Khan area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.

Official sources told GNS that two militants were killed in an overnight gunfight. However identity of the slain militants couldn’t be established as of now.

The militants were given ample of time to surrender however they refused the offer, they added.

A joint team of Police, Army’s 34RR and CRPF had launched a cordon and search operation in Sidiq Khan on Wednesday evening.(GNS)
