Srinagar- 24th Oct– The final match of the 4th edition of Late Mohammad Shafi Memorial Knockout Football Tournament was played today at Radpora Playing field between Real Kashmir U-18 Football Team  and Downtown FC.
Both the teams exhibited quality football and received appreciation from the spectators who had gathered in a big numbers to witness the match.
Real Kashmir boys made certain excellent moves right from the start but could not easily penetrate the solid defense line of Downtown FC.
However they succeeded in scoring two goals by making certain tactical moves which kept the spectators spell bound. Thus Real Kashmir  boys defeated Downtown FC by Two goals to NIL.
The spectators had gathered in large numbers to witness the enthusiastic match .
A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament which started from 11th Sept. 2020 The tournament was  organized by Radpora Football  Club in Collaboration with J&K Football Association.
Farooq Ahmad Bhola a veteran Footballer was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Lateef Ahmad Bhat International Footballer and Nazir Ahmad Dalal were the Guests of Honour. They distributed the prizes among the Winners and Runner-up teams.
Among others who were present Shri Abdul Majeed Kakroo, Former International Footballer, Bilal Panjabi. Asst. General Secretary, Wali Mohammad, Mohammad Shafeeq, Showkat Ahmad, Mohammad Iqbal. Nazir Ahmad, Farooq Shaheen, Muzaffar Ahmad members of JKFA. Prof. B.A Shah, Hony. General Secretary, JKFA thanked the organizers particularly Bilal Ahmad Bhat  for the successful Completion of the event. He applauded the role of the organizing committee for their efforts in making the Downtown Tournament successful irrespective of all odds.  a big success in the Downtown. He reiterated  that JKFA is bound to develop Football in nook & corner of the UT from Grassroots level.
