Jammu, Nov 1: Ahead of reopening of offices in Jammu tomorrow following the Darbar Move, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday said the year so far reflects a sustained focus on responsive, inclusive and people-centric governance across Jammu and Kashmir.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister as per GNS said he has travelled extensively across J&K, reaching remote villages, towns and urban centres, interacting directly with people and listening to their concerns.
“These engagements have helped shape the Government’s priorities, with a strong emphasis on improving everyday life through better roads, safe drinking water, reliable power supply, environmental protection, quality healthcare, education, skill development, sports and modern public infrastructure,” he said.
He said several major initiatives reflect this development-focused approach — from the proposed modern solid waste management facility at Achan in Srinagar and a mega water supply scheme in Udhampur to new industrial estates across J&K, development of Tawi Wonderland, establishment of Unity Malls and the inaugural International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Government continues to advance projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities and improving public services,” he said, adding that through sustained public outreach, regular field visits and focus on addressing people’s concerns, the Government continues to pursue the vision of an inclusive, progressive, prosperous and happy Jammu and Kashmir, where development reaches every region and its benefits touch every section of society.(GNS)
