Team YES Celebrates Sajna Divas of Khalsa Panth by Planting Saplings at Gurudwara in Beerwah

Srinagar, April 14: To promote environmental awareness and highlight the importance of trees in combating climate change, the Youth Empowerment Society (YES), a registered trust, organized a plantation drive on the occasion of Sajna Divas of the Khalsa Panth at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Charan Asthan in Beerwah, Budgam district, Central Kashmir.

Speaking to the media, Ajeetpal Singh, Treasurer of Team YES, said, “This Sajna Divas of the Khalsa Panth, let us root our joy in the soil, planting greenery along the Gurdwara boundary as a tribute to nature and a step towards a greener future.”

Punitpal Singh, a founding member of Team YES, emphasized the broader purpose behind the initiative: “The goal is to inspire people to plant trees, raise awareness about their importance, and provide an educational platform for all members of society through such tree-planting events.”

Balwinder Singh, a member of the advisory board, added, “The world will always reward us if we cultivate a sense of duty toward it. The more we give, the more we receive, especially when it comes to planting trees.”

The plantation drive saw the active participation of several Team YES members, including Treasurer Ajeetpal Singh, Advisory Board Member Balwinder Singh, Founding Member Punitpal Singh, as well as Taranpreet Singh, Angat Singh, Sajhpreet Singh, Taranjot Singh, Harleen Kour, and other enthusiastic volunteers.
