Srinagar, October 20:(GNS) Two militants were killed in an Overnight encounter in Melhura area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Official sources told GNS, that second militant has been killed in an Overnight encounter. However the identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
Pertinently one militant was killed yesterday in initial exchange of firing. The operation was halted due to darkness and resumed this morning with the killing of second militant, they said.
Pertinently, 185 militants have been killed so far this year in Valley.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.(GNS)
