A senior official at Srinagar Airport informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that turbulent weather conditions disrupted air traffic today in the evening as strong winds created disturbances in landing and takeoff, causing several flights to either be cancelled or diverted to nearby airports such as Chandigarh.

He said flights between Srinagar and Jammu were among the worst affected and have been fully cancelled till tomorrow.

Similarly, the disruption left many passengers stranded at the airport as airlines adjusted their schedules and awaited improved weather conditions.

Moreover, incoming flights from Delhi and other cities were delayed, while others were put on hold mid-air or asked to return.

Pertinently, Kashmir Valley witnessed a heavy downpour and hailstorm this afternoon disrupting the normal life and inundating the roads and streets across Srinagar City—(KNO)
