Srinagar, Apr 23 : Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will arrive in Srinagar today evening in view of the terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 civilians dead and many injured.
A spokesperson told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that Eknath Shinde will depart from Mumbai for Srinagar at 7:30 pm.
“His visit underlines the government of Maharashtra’s commitment to the safety and welfare of all tourists and pilgrims in Jammu & Kashmir,” he said.
26 civilians including 6 from Maharashtra were killed after terrorists, believed to be four in number, attacked a group of tourist in the Baisaran area of Pahalgam Tuesday afternoon.
Of the six tourists from Maharashtra, the bodies of four persons are expected to be flown to Mumbai and two to Pune—(KNO)
