5 Properties Worth 79 Lac Attached Under UAPA In Gool Ramban: Police

Jammu, February 28 : Police on Friday said that it has attached five Properties worth 79 lac in Gool area of Ramban district.

In a handout to GNS, the police said that it has attached properties under Section 25 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act in Gool area.

In a significant move to combat terrorism, the Ramban Police have attached 05 properties i.e Agricultural land measuring 23.13 Kanals valuing Rs. 7986377/- under section 25 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 (UAPA) Details of properties attached is as land measuring 1 Kanal 3 Marla registered in the name of Siraj Din son of Hassan Din resident of Movalkote Tehsil Gool District Ramban, falling under Khasra No. 341 valuing Rs. 634949/-.

Land measuring 1 Kanal 11 Marla registered in the name of Mohd Ashraf son of Mohd Shafi resident of Gool Tehsil Gool District Ramban, falling under Khasra No. 79, 70min,82,29,36,69,80 valuing Rs. 867132/-.

Land measuring 3 Kanal 4 Marla registered in the name of Mushtaq Ahmed son of Abdul Rashid Malik resident of Gool Tehsil Gool District Ramban, falling under Khasra No. 6,18,19,88,1min valuing Rs. 1790208/-.

Land measuring 15 Kanal 17 Marla registered in the name of Riyaz Ahmed son of Abdul Samad Wani resident of Dalwah Tehsil Gool District Ramban, falling under Khasra No. 307,438,439,440 valuing Rs. 4318440/- and Land measuring 1 Kanal 18 Marla registered in the name of Farooq Ahmed son of Jamal Din resident of Bhimdassa Tehsil Gool District Ramban, falling under Khasra No. 206/25, 208/734, 119/35, 2020/35, 264/754 valuing Rs. 375648/-.

All the attached properties valued Rs. 7986377/- (Seventy-Nine lacs Eighty-Six thousand and Three hundred Seventy-Seven rupees) has been duly recorded in revenue records, and notices prohibiting their sale or transfer have been served under the UAPA.

The attachment is linked to case FIR No. 04/2024 U/S 120-B/121-A/IPC, 13/18/20/39 UAPA of Police Station Gool and was executed in presence of Police team and an Executive Magistrate, ensuring full compliance with legal procedures.

This action marks a significant milestone in the ongoing investigation into unlawful and subversive activities in the region. It highlights the Ramban Police’s dedication to neutralizing the threats to National security and maintaining peace and order.

Ramban Police, in collaboration with other agencies, remain resolute in their mission to take a stringent measure against individuals and entities involved in activities threatening the sovereignty and integrity of the Nation, reads the statement.(GNS)
