Amid Fresh Snowfall, Govt establishes Emergency Operation Centre in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 27 : As, bid to address grievances and ensure swift responses during the winter season, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Srinagar has set up a 24/7 Winter Control Room at the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC).

As per the official commune, a copy which is accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the initiative is aimed at providing timely assistance to the public during winter conditions.

It reads as, the Winter Control Room, located at the District Commissioner’s Office in Srinagar, can be reached at the following numbers, DEOC: 01942483651, MH&ED: 0194-2497458, R&B Rajbagh: 0194-2313751, Traffic Department: 0194-2450022, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC): 0194-2470466, Fire & Emergency Control Room: 0194-2453224 and Animal Husbandry Control Room: 0194-2956201.

It also reads, in addition, the Nodal Officers for various departments can be contacted directly, with Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat (DEOC Srinagar) – 9797370930, Er. Summit Razdan (MH&ED, Srinagar) – 9103650810, Mr. Mudasir Mushtaq (SMC, Srinagar) – 7066786287, Mr. Tariq Rasool (Fireman, F&ES) – 7051551379 and Mr. Nahid Niyaz (SDRF, Srinagar) – 7780805144.

“The District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat (IAS), has encouraged residents to utilize these resources to ensure smooth management of winter-related issues,” the commune reads further—(KNO)
