Government Orders Major Reshuffle in Civil Administration

Srinagar, Dec 09 : The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday ordered a significant reshuffle in the civil administration, transferring 19 officers.

As per the Government Order No.2059-JK(GAD) ot 2024, Dated:09.12.2024 available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mehmood Ahmad Shah, Director of Handloom and Handicrafts, Kashmir, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited. Nisar Ahmad Wani, who was awaiting adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as a Member of the J&K Special Tribunal (Srinagar Bench).

Furthermore, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Itoo, Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission, has been appointed as Director of School Education, Kashmir. Gulzar Ahmad Dar, Special Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development Department, has been posted as Special Secretary in the School Education Department. Mussarat-ul-Islam, Managing Director of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited, has been appointed as Director of Handloom and Handicrafts, Kashmir.

Vikas Gupta, Special Secretary for Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction, has been appointed as Director of Tourism, Jammu. Kanta Devi, Special Secretary in the School Education Department, has been posted as Regional Director, Survey and Land Records (ex-officio Settlement Officer), Jammu.

Syed Qamar Sajad, Additional District Development Commissioner of Baramulla, has been posted as Managing Director of J&K Cable Car Corporation. Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Special Secretary in the Jal Shakti Department, has been appointed as Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission.

Anju Gupta, Regional Director of Survey and Land Records, Jammu, has been posted as Special Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development Department. Parveez Ahmad Raina, Member of the J&K Special Tribunal (Srinagar Bench), has been posted as Additional Commissioner of State Taxes (Administration & Enforcement), Kashmir.

Soheel Noor Shah, Additional Secretary in the Tourism Department, has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Forest, Ecology, and Environment Department.

Masarat Hashim, Programme Officer for ICDS Project, Pulwama, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Development Authority, Pahalgam.

Qazi Irfan Rasool Zargar, Registrar-cum-Controller of Examinations at SKIMS, Soura, has been posted as Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir.

The Government order reads further that Mohammad Aslam, Joint Director of Information, Kashmir, has been posted as Registrar-cum-Controller of Examinations at SKIMS, Soura.

Vivek Modi, Director of Land Management at Jammu Development Authority, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Floriculture, Parks, and Gardens Department.

Tariq Hussain, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Development Authority, Pahalgam, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Development Authority, Gulmarg.

Garbi Rashid, Additional Secretary in the Floriculture, Parks, and Gardens Department, has been appointed as Director of Land Management at Jammu Development Authority.

Syed Shahnawaz, Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir, has been appointed as Joint Director of Information, Kashmir—(KNO)
