Srinagar, Nov 27 : The second edition of the CRPF Cup 2024 witnessed an exciting day of cricket in the semi-finals, held at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium.

Both the matches produced quality cricketing. The second one was an exciting match played till the final ball.

According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), MLA Gymkhana Triumph dominated their victory in the first semi-final. They batted and put an impressive total of 190/8 after they chose to bat first in this particular match.

Key contributions came from Junaid Bashir, who scored a stellar 63 runs off 50 balls, and Suhail Paul, who added 59 runs off 40 balls.

Valley Fresh CC struggled against MLA Gymkhana’s disciplined bowling attack and was dismissed for just 76 runs in 11.3 overs.

Similarly, in the second semi-final, Batwara Sports Club clinches a last-ball thriller, offering a spectacle for cricket fans.

Master XI Ompora made 130 runs in 19.1 overs, where Shahid Bashir took up a quick 33-run knock, and an impressive bowling spell of 3/11.

Batwara Sports Club faced a hard chase, and with 2 runs needed off the last ball and only 1 wicket in hand, Muzamil smashed a boundary to get his team into the final. “It was a do-or-die moment, and we just hoped for the best,” said, one of the players from the team.

While tomorrow’s final between MLA Gymkhana and Batwara Sports Club at 9:30 AM Ground A, Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium is up for grabs—(KNO)
