Doda, Sep 14 (NVI): Blaming National Conference, Congress and PDP for degrading J&K for 70 years, Prime Minister Narendera Modi today said that terrorism was on its death bed in J&K and will soon be over.

Addressing a massive gathering at Doda, Modi said National Conference, PDP and Congress set base for separatism and terrorism and doing great injustice with Jammu over the past seven decades. “Congress party is the most dishonest party in the country. Its leader claims that had they got 20 more seats, they would have sent all BJP leaders to jail. I want to ask them, are they fighting polls to send people to jails. It is the Congress that is spreading hatred in the country and also in J&K,” Modi said. He became the first Prime Minister of India to visit Doda district of Jammu.

Modi said that terrorism in J&K is on its death bed and will be over soon. “The upcoming polls inJ&K will decide the future of UT. It is the BJP that will have to restore the Statehood of J&K,” he said.

Accusing the NC, PDP and Congress of framing fake manifestos that promise return of Article 370, Modi said that the question remains whether people would like to see bad old days again in J&K. “Do you want stone pelting again on roads. Do you want separatism and terrorism again on J&K soil. Do you want closure of schools and business establishments again,” Modi asked with people responding with “NO.”

He said National Conference, PDP and Congress failed to hold Panchayat polls in J&K since 2000. “It was the BJP government that ensured democracy reaches to grassroots level,” Modi said, adding that “Block Develop Council and District Development Council elections were held first time and youth came to fore.”

“Now the upcoming elections is a direct fight between three families and J&K youth who are chasing their dreams,” he said. Modi said that youth who were picking stones to throw them at police and forces are now thinking big. “Stones are being used to construct big buildings,” he said.

He on this day, some years ago, a Kashmiri Pandit Tika Lal Taploo was killed by terrorists. “We have decided to launch Tika Lal Taploo sheme to ensure KPs get their rights on fast track basis,” Modi said. “We will ensure that victims of terrorism get justice. We have also decided to issue a white paper on the victims of terrorism and fix the responsibility as well.”

Batting for the BJP candidate from Kishtwar Shagun Parihar, Modi said that Shagun’s both parents were killed by terrorists.

“We gave her ticket to contest polls. She is our tool against terrorism,” he said.

He said that it was the BJP who will restore Statehood to J&K.

“We are committed to make J&K terror free region and a paradise for tourists,” Modi said. He said J&K will be a global film destination and there will be a direct train from Delhi to Srinagar soon. “Bhaderwah, Doda, Kashmir districts will see not just Bollywood but Holly wood as well,” he said.
