Poonch, Aug 30 : One person died and two others were injured on Friday when a vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a shooting stone along the Mughal Road which connects Kashmir Valley’s Shopian district with twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch.

Official sources told GNS that the vehicle—Maruti car (JK11A-4674)— was on its way from Kashmir Valley to Bufliaz and came under the shooting stone at Chatta Pani in Surankote area of Poonch district. Three persons travelling in the vehicle were injured. They were later shifted to hospital where one of them identified as Shahzad Ahmad son of Saif Ullah of Gambir Mughlan Rajouri succumbed to injuries. Two others, Mohammad Afzal son of Shah Mohammad and Lal Hussain son of Shab Din, also residents of Gambir Mughlan Rajouri, are under treatment, they added.
