2 soldiers injured in encounter with terrorists in Doda

Doda, Jul 18 : Two soldiers were injured in an overnight encounter between security forces and terrorists near Zadan village of Kastigarh in district Doda, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the injured soldiers have been shifted to Associated Hospital Government Medical College Doda.

He that around 2 am encounter ensued between security forces and terrorists near Zadan village, which continued till the first light of the day.

“The terrorists managed to flee from the cordon again while search operation has been launched in other areas of Kastigarh and Dessa to trace them,” he said.

On July 15 four soldiers including an officer were killed during an encounter following which a massive combing operation was launched in forests of Doda. The operation is still underway—(KNO)
