Shab-e-Barat: Valley abuzz with preparations

Srinagar, Feb 24 : As the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Barat approaches, the valley of Kashmir is abuzz with preparations to ensure a memorable and meaningful celebration for the devotees.

The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board has put in place adequate arrangements to ensure the comfort and well-being of worshippers during this sacred night.

An official from the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that every effort has been made to cater to the needs of the devotees on the auspicious occasion.

Speaking to KNO, a local resident Zahoor Ahmad said it’s reassuring to see the authorities taking proactive steps to ensure the comfort and safety during Shab-e-Barat. “This allows us to focus on the spiritual significance of the night without worrying about logistical concerns,” he said.

Notably, on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat, Isha prayers will be offered at the historic Jama Masjid in Srinagar at 09:30 PM, at Dargah Hazratbal Srinagar, the prayers will be offered at 10:00 PM.

The night-long prayers will also be observed at the religious places—(KNO)
