These projects include the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Vijaypur in Samba, the highest railway bridge over Chenab in the Reasi district, the Devika project at Udhampur, IIM Jammu, and the Shahpur-Kandi Dam project, he said.

A notable highlight of the inauguration is the 1.3-kilometer Chenab rail bridge, positioned 359 meters above the riverbed, surpassing the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris by 35 meters, he said.

This bridge forms a vital component of the 111-kilometer stretch from Katra to Banihal, integral to the ongoing Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL) project.

Bhat underscored the immense significance of these transformative projects, highlighting the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the remarkable developmental strides achieved under the BJP’s governance.

He highlighted how these initiatives exemplify the government’s commitment to bolstering infrastructure, healthcare, education, and overall socio-economic development in the region, paving the way for a brighter future for the people of Jammu and Kashmir—(KNO)
