Ramban, November 25: Police on Saturday claimed to have recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition along with some explosive substances from the forest of Ramban district.

In a handout to GNS, the police said that in a joint operation of Ramban Police and Army huge cache of Arms, Ammunition and other Explosive Substances from Forest area Sarniyal of Tehsil Khari District Ramban was recovered.

The police spokesman, further giving the details of recovery, said that 113 1. 7.62 mm cartridges, three AK 47 Mag 03 l, seven 3. 7.62 mm sniper cartridges 07, five PIKA rounds 05, two 5.9mm cartridges, three Chinese Grenades, one Pak Grenades, two UBGL, two Detonators, two Fuse, one FM transreciever (radio set) one PIKA belt 300 gms of Explosive Material.

A case FIR No 262/2023 U/s 7/25 Arms Act and 3/4 Explosive Substance Act has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation set into motion, reads the statement.(GNS)
