UT Foundation Day Celebrations: Mega Cleanliness drive organised at Joint Directorate of Information Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 25: In connection with Swachhata Pakhwada and Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign for ensuing UT Foundation Day Celebrations, a mega cleanliness drive was today conducted at Joint Directorate of Information Kashmir.

On the occasion, all the officers and officials of the department actively participated in the cleanliness drive. They with great enthusiasm cleaned every nook and cranny of the office premises and collected the plastic & other solid waste material which was later disposed-off in a proper manner.

The Joint Director Information Kashmir, Mohammad Aslam emphasized the importance of ‘Swachhata’ and encouraged the staff members in religiously maintaining the ‘Swachhata’ at their workplaces and surroundings.

He further said that the Information Department has always been on the forefront to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability. “The Department has always accorded highest priority to the crucial issue of cleanliness and hygiene,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, the officers emphasized that this drive aims at improving overall cleanliness of Government offices and enhancing public experience of the common public with Government offices.

Among others, Deputy Director Information & PR, Bilal Mukhtar; Assistant Director/ FPO, M Aslam Khan; Cultural Officer Kashmir, Burhan Hussain and other staff members participated in the cleanliness drive.

Meanwhile, similar cleanliness drives were also conducted across all District Information Centres in Kashmir division.
