Police foil woman’s suicide attempt in Sopore

Sopore, Aug 11 : A women was prevented from committing suicide in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the women was spotted by cops attempting to jump into river Jhelum at bypass bridge in Sopore.

“After noticing her movement as doubtful cops rushed towards her and foiled her suicidal attempt”, he said.

He said that the woman will be handed over to her family after proper counselling—(KNO)
