Srinagar, Apr 29 : Body of a non-local, working as a bus conductor, was found in Batamaloo area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
They told GNS that the body was found by some passersby along a road in the area, following which they evacuated him to SMHS Hospital.
The person, they said, was however declared dead on arrival by the doctors there.
The deceased has been identified as one Rakesh Kumar (40), a resident of Katra.
Confirming it, a senior police officer told GNS that the person is believed to have died due to ‘overuse of drug’. “We still are ascertaining more detailed facts into his death”, the officer added. (GNS)
